EYIF presents Pablo Zalba Bidegain, an economist and politician, who was elected Member of the European Parliament for the first time in 2009.
Within his parliamentary activity, Youth Intergroup and a coordinator of the youth network members (Young Members Network) of the European People’s Party.
In November 2012 Pablo lead the EP delegation to the Parliamentary Conference of the World Trade Organization
in Geneva. He believes that the European Parliament should try to
convince countries of the importance of trade as a way to boost growth
and eliminate poverty.
Pablo has ten years of business administration experience achieved during his work in the private sector and supported by BSc degree from University of Navarra and Executive MBA from London Business School.
Pablo now uses his achieved expertise in the Committee on Economic and
Monetary Affairs where he serves as a Vice President as well as he
represents the EP on various economics and trade forums.
He was one of the key players in negotiations of the bilateral trade agreement between the EU and Korea, which ensured protection for the EU’s industry interests. For this significant contribution and his hard work he won MEP Awards 2012, which is a great success that once again proves excellence and prestige of EYIF’s Advisory Board members.
